Well this whole fat controversy may either spur more game sales for wii fit or keep the moms away. “We're not really after core gamers here,” said Nintendo of Canada's Matt Ryan. “With Wii Fit we're looking at families—moms especially.” I guess their target audience should not get spooked when the game calls them "Fat" !!!
Fat or Non-Fat? Wii Fit has generated a fat controversy for sure in the UK where a 10 year old girl was deemed fat by the Nintendo exergame. The game uses BMI, a measure of body fat to calculate their levels of obesity. For children, the BMI can vary from month to month and hence is not an accurate measure of obesity or fitness.
